Description

We have the opportunity to offer you a small batch of Mao Cha (loose leaves) of the famous 8582 blend created in 1988 by the Menghai Tea Factory and today one of the most loved and sought after by Pu’Er enthusiasts.

The cakes designated as 8582 indicate a blend made in the mid-1980s using a blend of grade 8 from plantations with old trees and using the largest leaves, which aged perfectly in Hong Kong’s humid environment. Three decades of ageing have given this pu’er a legendary reputation.

This batch ‘8582-style’ production created with the same recipe as the original one has been aged quietly in Taiwan for over 30 years, where the perfect humidity and heat have given this Pu’Er a great sweetness and a vibrant yet balanced body.

The infusion is garnet red with a medium density, while the aroma of wet leaves is reminiscent of forest, mushrooms, dried mandarin peel, rhubarb and a vaguely medicinal note. Taste is smooth and elegant, with a pronounced camphor flavour and a soft, lingering Huigan. It has a very pleasant Qi.

This is your rare and unique chance to purchase this aged Pu’Er tea in small quantities and understand how far an aged pu’er can elevate.
